Our storyIt all began in 2017.
The story of Discover Romania Audioguide began in 2017, from a wish to transform the way Romania is discovered, understood and presented to travellers from all over the world.
The platform’s founder, Claudiu Dospinoiu, turned almost two decades of experience in tourism in Rome and the Vatican into a project dedicated to promoting Romanian heritage. After building a tourism services company in Italy and working directly with visitors from many countries, he understood how important it is for every traveller to discover the history of a place in their own language, in a way that is accessible, clear and captivating.
This is how Discover Romania Audioguide was born – a digital platform created to promote the attractions, museums, historic cities and places that define Romania’s identity. From the very beginning, the project’s mission has been to bring the stories of Romanian heritage closer to the public, through audio guides in Romanian and in widely spoken international languages.

Discover Romania Audioguide is born
A digital platform for Romania’s attractions, museums and historic cities, with audio guides in Romanian and international languages.
- The first years
Audio tours and multimedia content
Over the years, the platform has given travellers access to well-researched information, audio tours and multimedia content dedicated to major cultural and historic attractions. Its projects include audio-guided tours of the Suceava Princely Fortress and the “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum, available in several languages. The app integrated features such as real-time GPS location, identification of nearby attractions and access to content in offline mode.
- 2022
A difficult moment
In 2022, the platform went through a difficult time when it was hit by a cyberattack. A period of interruption and reorganisation followed, needed to rethink the project and prepare a new stage of development. This experience was not the end of Discover Romania Audioguide, but the beginning of a more ambitious rebuild.
- The relaunch
Fresh energy
The project was relaunched with fresh energy alongside Valentin Dumitru and Niță Mugurică, who helped strengthen the platform’s new direction.

A new momentum
In 2026, Marius Mihai and George Neagu joined the team – people whose professionalism, dedication and belief in the project’s potential gave new momentum to the development of Discover Romania Audioguide.

Today, we are building more than an app. We are developing a digital travel guide that goes with travellers everywhere and turns a mobile phone into a gateway to Romania’s history, culture and beauty.

The Discover Romania Audioguide app is intuitive and easy to use, designed for both Romanian and international travellers. Using geolocation, it recognises where you are and can point out the attractions nearby. You can listen to the story of each place, discover relevant information and plan your visit at your own pace, without depending on a fixed schedule.
Every audio guide is designed as an experience, not just a presentation. Historical information becomes an accessible, engaging story, complemented by images, video and practical tips to help visitors find their way. With content available in several languages, Romania’s heritage becomes easier for international audiences to discover and understand.
