1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They allow, for example, a session to be recognised between two pages or a form to be protected.
2. Which cookies we use
discoverromaniaguide.com uses only its own, strictly necessary cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
dr_form | Created only on pages with a form (Contact, For museums); protects form submission against forged requests (CSRF security token). | Session — deleted when you close the browser | Strictly necessary, first-party |
dr_admin | Keeps administrators signed in to the website’s admin area. Set only for administrators, not for visitors. | Session | Strictly necessary, first-party |
We do not use analytics (for example Google Analytics), advertising or social media cookies, and we do not load third-party content that would set such cookies. Your language preference is not stored in cookies: the Romanian or English version is determined by the page address.
3. Do we need your consent?
No. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Art. 4(6) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 and Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, because the service you request (for example sending a form) could not work without them. This is why the website does not show a cookie banner.
If we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary in the future (for example for traffic analytics), we will update this policy and ask for your consent before using them.
4. How to control cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the forms on the website may not work; you can always write to us directly at contact@discoverromaniaguide.com.
5. Personal data
Information about the personal data we process and your rights is available in our Privacy policy. For questions, write to us at contact@discoverromaniaguide.com.
